support and encouragement. It includes lists of support
groups in Richmond as well as homeschool classes and
events.

Learners of the Shenandoah Valley - The area's
only inclusive group of home educating families. Open
to new members, regardless of family size or structure,
religious beliefs, or education style. This diverse
group of friends meets weekly for activities, both
planned and spontaneous: science experiments, game
days, hikes, a Roman "popinas," and
more. Teachers and students alike are currently enjoying
tending their community garden and exploring literature

- REACH's goal is to offer meaningful
and educational opportunities for all homeschoolers
in the Virginia area. We are a large and very active
group that participates in many fieldtrips, meetings,
workshops, activtities and more for children of
all ages. We
average about 35 fieldtrips a month. We also
put on a
Convention, Formal dance, and a hugh booksale
once a year. We welcome you to join our support
group.

Area Homeschoolers - This is an inclusive group
of Richmond (Virginia) area homeschoolers to share
ideas, organize get togethers, and for general support.
We try to get together for picnics in the park every
month, and have regular field trips. We are offering
Spanish and French classes in the Fall.

preschool aged children to share ideas, organize get
togethers, and for general support. We have monthly
get togethers in the park, and field trips suited to
preschool aged children. We are also offering Spanish

- Right at Home - Right at Home has been a support group in Western Loudoun County (Virginia) since 1990. We serve to connect home schoolers for field trips, classes, Moms' Night Out, Park Days, etc. We also offer adjunct classes in support of your home education efforts.

The purpose of WHEAT is to share information, provide support and networking for homeschoolers, and to enrich homeschooling families spiritually, academically, and socially. We believe in the God-given right of parents to teach their children at home. While WHEAT is a Christian group which seeks God's guidance through prayer at the beginning of meetings and many activities, WHEAT is open to all.
