Area Homeschool (ABRAH) is an inclusive community of homeschooling
families providing support and resources for people who
have chosen to educate their families at home. Members
have varied backgrounds, as well as varied political and
religious beliefs. In ABRAH we celebrate our differences
and treat each other with respect and kindness being sensitive
to the diversity that is within the group.

for field trips and co-ops and/or classes as the members plan them, monthly

- Louisiana Homeschool meltingpot - . This is an all inclusive, all accepting homeschool group. It is all about the children here. We are homeschoolers and unschoolers in Louisiana from the Mandeville, Covington, Abita, Lacombe, Folsom, Slidell, Hammond, New Orleans, Kenner, Metairie or nearby areas. While having different viewpoints we are polite, respectful and tolerant to views that may be different from our own. We are truly a home school meltingpot. We have teen gatherings, pool parties as well as toddler play dates.

Odyssey - a secular, inclusive support
group for all homeschooling families in the Greater New Orleans
area. We meet once a week in Algiers for crafts and
outdoor play, and we also have regular field trips. All
families are welcome, and there are no dues or contracts
to sign.

of educational and social activities, including park days, presentation days,
monthly parent meetings, teen club, book clubs, science co-op, family potlucks,

This is a group that is just beginning in this area. We
feel that this is a needed option for homeschoolers in
our area to get together and have fun. We would like to
get together and plan social activities, both educational
or leisure. The only rule we have here is that we all agree
to disagree.
