Sites Safe for Children

Homeschooled kids need a place to go on the net that is geared to them. Here are a number of links that kids will find entertaining!

Coloring Pages for Kids - Free coloring pages for kids to print and color.  Key categories include animals, cartoons, holidays, sports, and travel themes.

  • ARF Rescue Patrol - Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is pleased to announce the launch of its ARF Rescue Patrol™ humane education program, that engages, entertains, and educates school-aged children, their family members and humane educators through accessing ARF games, storybooks, lessons and animated comics through the ARF Rescue Patrol website, and educational materials.   • Create Your Own Newspaper - create and maintain your own newspaper online
  • Creative Imaginations - Come play "Picture This". Solve a tangram puzzle, and submit your designs!
  • Drew's Animals - Fun includes online games, mini movies, printable coloring pages, animal photos and sounds, activity sheets, Bible verses, and scripture pages.
  • KidsKonnect - captures the links to researched sites, and is organized in (nearly 200) topical pages. Each site is checked for being appropriate and safe three levels from the main site.
  • Kid to Kid - Sponsored by Children's Hunger Relief Fund, kids can learn about needy kids around the world, enter a homeschool writing assignment/contest, and more.

Lots of free and fun activities for kids. Entertaining, Educational, Cute. It is a valuable source of earth science and ecology information and is used and endorsed by educators and students worldwide.
  • Seussville - Dr. Seuss on the net
  • Springboard Magazine - an online educational magazine for children 3-9 years of age. There are lots of fun educational games to learn math and language, science experiments and essays, stories with audio, art and craft projects, coloring pages, general knowledge and much more. The magazine is free. Past issues are archived in a database.
  • Wilderness Kids Club. A place where kids share their adventures with kids everywhere. Wildlife observation, camping, journaling, and the chance to become a "wilderness protector."
