Small community orchestra opens doors to players of all ages. Players must be able to sight read at intermediate level. Much of the repertoire is Christian sacred in nature. Players ages range from 12-60, to include middle school, high school, college and beyond. All instruments are welcome. Must be able to provide own transportation and instrument. Many parent/child teams attend. Rehearsals are held Mondays 7:15-8:30 pm and church performances are scheduled on 4th Sunday's at 11am service. Limited outside engagements may be scheduled. This ensemble's dynamic and entertaining conductor is retired AF Band instrumentalist Mrs. Jan Siegfried. Recognized by Who's Who of American Women, recipient of the Virginia Governor's Award and Claes Nobel Award of Distinction, she currently holds the position of Instrumental Music Director at Paul VI Catholic High School, Fairfax.
